Royal T.E.A. | Maternal Wellness & Peer Support

Community. Connection. Wellness. Support.

A community-based maternal wellness and peer-support program for women and mothers.

What is Royal T.E.A?

Royal T.E.A. is Royally Fit's signature community wellness cohort designed around a simple idea:

Women deserve support, too.

Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, motherhood, work, caregiving, relationships and everyday life can place enormous demands on a woman's time, energy, body and emotional capacity.

Royal T.E.A. creates intentional space for women to reconnect with themselves and with one another.

Participants are guided through an integrative wellness experience that combines:

  • Peer connection and community building

  • Wellness education

  • Nutrition and nourishment

  • Practical self-care strategies

  • Herbal and botanical wellness education

  • Stress-management and relaxation practices

  • Goal setting and accountability

  • Self-advocacy and resource awareness

  • Experiential wellness activities

  • Opportunities for rest, reflection, creativity, and connection

The goal is not perfection.

The goal is to help women develop realistic, sustainable practices that support their well-being in everyday life.

Wellness and Self-Care

Royal T.E.A. (Time, Energy & Affection) is a cohort-based wellness experience created by Royally Fit to help women and mothers build sustainable practices of rest, connection, nourishment, self-care and community support.

More than a wellness program, Royal T.E.A. creates a space where women can slow down, connect with others, learn practical tools for caring for themselves and build relationships that extend beyond the program.

Because caring for everyone else should not require women to disappear from their own lives.

Royal T.E.A. helps create the bridge between:

Clinical Care

Community Support

Connection & Education

Practical Wellness

Ongoing Engagement

Healthcare systems are increasingly recognizing the value of community partnerships, peer support, community health workers and other non-clinical supports as part of a more connected approach to maternal health.

Royal T.E.A. is designed to serve as a community-based maternal wellness and peer-support partner alongside clinical care.

Royal T.E.A. for Healthcare Systems

Bring community-based maternal wellness directly into your continuum of care.

Royal T.E.A. gives hospitals and healthcare organizations an opportunity to partner with a trusted community-based organization to provide ongoing wellness, connection, education, and peer support outside of traditional clinical settings.

A healthcare-sponsored Royal T.E.A. cohort can:

Extend engagement beyond the clinical encounter

Create opportunities for continued connection after prenatal, delivery or postpartum care.

Strengthen community connections

Connect patients with a structured community environment where they can build relationships and access wellness education.

Complement clinical services

Provide non-clinical wellness and peer support alongside, not instead of, medical, behavioral health and social services.

Address health-related social needs

Create opportunities to connect participants with appropriate community resources and support systems.

Support patient-centered care

Give participants space to identify their needs, develop goals, ask questions and strengthen self-advocacy.

Advance community benefit goals

Support meaningful investment in community-based programming that responds to maternal and family health needs.

Create a pathway between healthcare and community

Royally Fit can serve as a community partner that helps carry wellness support beyond the walls of the healthcare system.

Why Royal T.E.A. Matters

Healthcare does not end when a patient leaves the hospital.

For many women, the transition from pregnancy to postpartum and early motherhood brings new physical, emotional, social and practical challenges.

Royal T.E.A. provides a community-based layer of support that can complement, rather than replace, clinical care.

Participants have a place to connect, ask questions, learn, share experiences, identify resources and practice wellness alongside other women navigating similar seasons of life.

What Happens Inside a Royal T.E.A. Cohort?

Royal T.E.A. combines facilitated group experiences with practical wellness education and opportunities for connection.

Each cohort is intentionally designed to create a culture where participants can:

CONNECT

Build relationships with other women who understand the realities of pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood and everyday life.

LEARN

Explore practical approaches to nutrition, wellness, stress management, self-care, herbal education and whole-person well-being.

PRACTICE

Move beyond information into experiences and activities participants can incorporate into their own lives.

REFLECT

Create space to consider what they need, what is working and what needs to change.

ADVOCATE

Build confidence in identifying needs, asking questions, accessing resources and communicating with providers and support systems.

GROW

Set personal wellness goals and develop sustainable routines with encouragement and accountability from the cohort community.

A Different Kind of Wellness Experience

Royal T.E.A. was intentionally created to move beyond the traditional "take a bubble bath and practice self-care" message.

Wellness is not one-size-fits-all.

Depending on the cohort, Royal T.E.A. may incorporate experiences such as:

  • Nutrition education and healthy cooking

  • Herbal and botanical education

  • Aromatherapy

  • Horticulture and garden-based wellness

  • Relaxation and restorative practices

  • Sound-based wellness experiences

  • Creative wellness activities

  • Guided reflection

  • Community meals and shared experiences

  • Wellness retreats and immersive experiences

Activities are adapted to the needs, interests, setting and goals of each cohort.

The emphasis is always on accessible, practical, culturally responsive wellness, not perfection.

A Program With a Foundation of Experience

Royal T.E.A. is part of Royally Fit's broader ecosystem of nutrition, wellness, herbal education, community health, food access and women's wellness programming.

Royally Fit has spent years building relationships and delivering community-based education and wellness experiences throughout Pittsburgh.

Royal T.E.A. has successfully completed 5 cohorts of women and mothers, creating a tested program foundation that can now be adapted for strategic healthcare, community, and funding partnerships.

Our approach combines education, lived experience, relationship-building, practical wellness and community connection.

Now, we're ready to bring that experience into new partnerships with hospitals, health systems, foundations, health plans and community organizations seeking meaningful ways to support women beyond the clinical encounters.

What We Can Measure

Royal T.E.A. can be structured with a simple evaluation framework that allows partners and funders to understand participation, engagement, experience and program reach.

Depending on the partnership, evaluation may include:

  • Enrollment and participant demographics

  • Attendance and retention

  • Participant engagement

  • Pre/post wellness self-assessments

  • Participant-reported changes in wellness practices

  • Connection to community resources

  • Participant satisfaction

  • Self-reported confidence and self-advocacy

  • Qualitative participant feedback

  • Program completion

  • Partner-defined measures

We believe community programs should be both meaningful and measurable.

Evaluation can be customized to the goals of the healthcare system, funder, foundation or community partner supporting the cohort.
